I favour software that is understandable, composable, and easy to operate.

- Strong typing, automated checks, and reproducible builds
- PostgreSQL-first data design where the database is treated as an engineering asset
- Open protocols and provider-independent integrations
- Local-first and self-hosted options wherever practical
- Measured performance improvements backed by real workloads
